Salah satu penyebab utama banjir di Jakarta adalah banyaknya sampah di kali. Di Jakarta, ada 90-220 ton sampah masuk ke sungai setiap hari, dimana 90% berasal dari sampah rumah tangga dan pembuangan pasar.

Short Description
One of the main cause of flood in Jakarta is household garbage disposed to the waterways. It is estimated, there are 90-220 tonnes of garbage throw to the rivers every day. This innovation offers a mechanical system to retrieve the garbage from rivers, that consist of four-leaves propellers to lift the garbage to a conveyor system, which is integrated by anautomatic control system. This garbage retrieval system is custom-designed to fit the characteristic of rivers in Jakarta after being rehabilitated.

Jakarta sebagai kota metropolitan sudah saatnya memanfaatkan sarana dan prasarana otomatis dan berteknologi, menggantikan pekerjaan-pekerjaan yang bersifat padat karya.
